To lessen the frequency and severity of flooding and sewer backups by separating the existing combined sewer.
This project consists of the separation of the existing combined sewer main on North Third Avenue from Holly Court to Division Street.
The combined sewer separation was identified by the 2015 Comprehensive Flood Plan and Storm Sewer Analysis prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL).

NOTICE: Separate proposals for the THIRD AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS will be received electronically by the Village of Villa Park, Illinois, at the website www.questcdn.com (QuestCDN #7508467), until the Bid Deadline. Immediately thereafter, the proposals will be read aloud via Zoom. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Village reserves the right to defer, postpone, delay, or reschedule the Bid Opening for such time and to such date as the Village, in its sole discretion, determines is in the best interest of the Village. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd., 9575 W. Higgins Road, Rosemont, IL 60018.
Minority and Women Owned Businesses (MBE/WBE) are encouraged to submit bids on this project. Federal Labor Standards, Prevailing Wage Rates, and Section 3 regulations apply to this Project.
MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: A mandatory pre-bid meeting for contractors interested will be held on March 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom. Village and Consulting engineering staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding interpretations of the project plans and specifications and discuss project scheduling. If required, a project addendum will be prepared based upon questions raised by the bidding community and distributed to all attendees for inclusion within their respective bids. It will be the Village’s decision whether bids are opened from Contractors that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. |March 19, 2021||A bid opening was held Tuesday, March 16, at 11:00 A.M. via Zoom. The apparent low bidder was John Neri Construction of Addison, IL with an as-read total of $948,907.95. The Village is reviewing the bid submittals.|
