March 20, 2020

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a stay-at-home order taking effect 5 pm, Saturday, March 21 through April 7 for all of Illinois. He said schools are to remain closed until April 7 as well.

As a result of this new mitigation effort, VILLA PARK - Parks and Recreation (VPPR) has closed the Funtime Junction daycare.  All programs, events and rentals are also cancelled. In addition, public parks will be closed until further notice.  Participants will be refunded or credited for any and all cancellations; this will be a priority when staff return to work on Monday, March 23. The Community Recreation Building (CRB) at 320 E. Wildwood and the Iowa Community Center (ICC) at 338 N. Iowa Ave., are closed to the public.  While programs and events will be cancelled, VPPR will continue to operate and staff will be available via phone and email during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

We continue to ask for your patience as we navigate this incomparable global event. This is a quickly evolving, fluid situation and we ask you to continue to return to this page for updates.
