Notice of Access Limitations to Village Buildings

Today, March 16, 2020, the Village of Villa Park is issuing a Declaration of Emergency in response to the spread of COVID-19 . 

In conjunction, all Village buildings will be closed to the public until further notice effective March 16, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

The health and safety of all Villa Park residents and employees is the Village’s highest priority. In light of the directives offered by the state of Illinois and DuPage County offices, and in order to reduce the risk of community spread of the novel virus COVID-19, President Bulthuis has directed that all Villa Park public offices be closed to the public until further notice effective March 16, 2020 at 5 p.m.

This includes:

  • Village Hall (20 S. Ardmore) (630-834-8500)
  • Police (40 S. Ardmore) (911) 
  • Fire (1440 S. Ardmore) (911)
  • Public Works (11 West Home Avenue) (630-834-8505)
  • Community/Economic Development (325 E. North Avenue)  (630-433-4300)
  • Community Recreation (320 E. Wildwood) (630-834-8525)

“As a local government, it is our responsibility to try to diminish the effects of COVID-19 by following the recommendations of federal and state public health officials,” said Village of Villa Park President, Albert Bulthuis. “We ask for your patience as we navigate the local challenges Villa Park residents and businesses will face as a result of the spread of COVID-19.”

While entrance to public buildings will be limited to employee personnel only, essential village services will continue. Staff will maintain normal office hours however, Village operations and procedures may change during this rapidly evolving situation, general assistance will be available online and via phone. For bill payments, we encourage residents to pay online, call 1-877-885-7968 or drop off payments via the drop box in the Village Hall parking lot, drop off at the Light House gas station or drop off at Inland Bank.

“As the COVID-19 spread continues, let’s look out for each other, follow the recommendations of health professionals and maintain hope as I know the strong Villa Park community spirit will help us confront this challenge head on,” states President Bulthuis.

Villa Park is committed to effective communication throughout this new challenge COVID-19 brings. We encourage residents to follow the Village’s social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,) and website (invillapark.com) to learn more information about the changes to Village operations. We encourage residents to sign up for our CodeRED notification system for emergency notifications. Text “VILLAPARK” to 99411.
