The Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NEDSRA) provides comprehensive recreation programs for handicapped individuals of all ages in its 11 area communities. The organization is independent of the Village of Villa Park, however Villa Park is represented by serving as one of the 11 members of NEDSRA's Board of Trustees.
The business of NEDSRA is managed by their Board of Trustees, in accordance with the articles of agreement between its 11 public agencies. The NEDSRA Board of Trustees shall establish all major policies, including but not limited to, budgets, capital outlay, and a master plan. The board shall also approve all contracts, and employ an executive director to carry out the policies of the board.
The 11 members of the NEDSRA Board of Trustees meet at 7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at 1770 West Centennial Place, in Addison, Illinois. Each term served by the board members lasts three years, and one of the 11 members is a representative of Villa Park.
