The Village of Villa Park Engineering Division is one of six divisions of the Village's Public Works Department. It is responsible for the design and / or review of plans for Public Works projects, as well as related construction inspection. This division also reviews site plans for private property development. The sidewalk replacement programs and the backyard drainage program are also managed by Engineering.

The Division

The Village's Engineering Division consists of four full-time staff, including the Public Works Director, who oversees the division, as well as an Assistant Village Engineering and two Civil Engineers. The division also utilizes part-time seasonal and summer help from time to time, and works with village consultant engineers on a regular basis to coordinate a wide variety of issues.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Division offices are located in the Public Works building, and are open from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Residents or other members of the public seeking engineering assistance are encouraged to call and speak with a member of the Engineering Division staff or to arrange a meeting.
