Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR Class

The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation for healthcare professionals.

Full Class

Classes are taught by trained Villa Park Fire Dept. paramedics at the Iowa Community Center, 338 N. Iowa in Villa Park. This is a full class and includes a student workbook. After completion of the class and passing score on the written test, each student will receive a 2-year certification e-card; therefore a valid email address is required. The fee for this class is $65 and must be paid in advance. Check or cash payments can be accepted at Fire Station 81, 1440 South Ardmore Avenue in Villa Park. No credit card payments can be accepted.

Hands-on Skills session only

Also being offered is the Hands-on Skills Session for those students who want to complete the AHA classroom portion on-line. For more information on the AHA Blended Learning Option and to register, right-click on AHA Heartcode BLS to access the page.

The fee for the Hands-on Skills Session is $28.50 and includes a 2-yr. certification e-card. The fee for this class must be paid in advance. Check or cash payments can be accepted at Fire Station 81, 1440 South Ardmore Avenue in Villa Park. No credit card payments can be accepted. Please note that the AHA HeartCode BLS Online Course completion certificate must be brought to class for participation in the Hands-on Skills Session. Students have 30 days to complete the Hands-on Skills Session after completion of the online course.
