Objective
To improve the condition of the roadway by means of various pavement rehabilitation methods.
Description
This project consists of the rehabilitation of various streets by means of various pavement rehabilitation methods.
Justification
The Village's pavement management program has determined that the condition of the street has deteriorated to the point that pavement rehabilitation is needed. This project is to be partially funded by voter approved bond proceeds.

November 27, 2015 | Construction of the project has reached substantial completed. A few remaining restoration efforts, pavement markings, and punch list work must still remain. |
November 13, 2015 | Final asphalt surface paving and installation of aggregate shoulders is complete. Placement of sod is mostly complete. A few remaining restoration efforts and punch list work must still take place. |
October 30, 2015 | Final surface paving began today, 10/30/2015, and is expected to be completed early next week. Landscaping began this week, and the placement of topsoil is now complete. October 2, 2015 | The first step in Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) process - pulverization - took place on 10/01/2015. The FDR process is expected to be completed tomorrow. Installation of two remaining culverts was completed this week. Those culverts were previously in conflict with Nicor Gas facilities. Nicor relocated its conflicting facilities earlier this week, prior to the remaining culvert work taking place. |
September 25, 2015 | Grinding of the existing pavement was completed this week. Staff is awaiting the results of geotechnical testing which is needed in advance of the proposed Full Depth Reclamation (FDR). |

May 29, 2015 | Staff received preliminary plans, specification and estimates from engineering consultant Baxter & Woodman this week. Staff is working to review those submittals in anticipation of advertising this project for bidding next week. |
