If members of the public are interested in attending the Village Board Meeting in person, and are symptom free, social distancing and adorning a proper face covering will be utilized to mitigate the community spread of disease. Attendance will be monitored at the door.

Spring Sweep 2020

This event scheduled for September 19, is an opportunity for our residents to ethically recycle items such as electronic waste, paint, household items, fire extinguishers, American Flags, and so much more! College of DuPage in partnership with DuPage County invites local residents to share their personal experiences living through the COVID-19 pandemic. We are pleased to offer this compilation of unexpected and unique stories of finding togetherness while separated, strategies to cope and eventually heal in one historical account made available for future generations.

Today's technology, in the way of social media, email and streaming videos, allows us to capture our collective memory and study our response to the endless ways this virus has affected everyday life. We invite you to upload content to this collection of the College of DuPage Archive; a video that provides a glimpse into the new way of life, a photo that poignantly demonstrates an emotion evoked by this crisis, or a social media post that perfectly captures a moment in time

2020 Census

Villa Park's response rate is currently 78.6%. The deadline to complete the 2020 census has been moved up to September 30th. To complete yours online visit: my2020census.gov/.

Unemployment Scam

The Villa Park Police Department has received calls from residents related to unemployment insurance scams. In this scam, the criminals impersonate the victims using the victims’ stolen identities to submit fraudulent unemployment insurance claims online.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) advises the public to be on the lookout for the following suspicious activities:

Receiving communications regarding unemployment insurance forms when you have not applied for unemployment benefits
Unauthorized transactions on your bank or credit card statements related to unemployment benefits
Any fees involved in filing or qualifying for unemployment insurance
Unsolicited inquires related to unemployment benefits
Fictitious websites and social media pages mimicking those of government agencies

Laws on open flames or burning

If you are getting ready to make s'mores outdoors, make sure you are up to date with the laws and ordinances on open flames and burning in an approved outdoor furnace.
