Union Pacific Railroad Villa Ave Crossing Repairs 

The Union Pacific Railroad will be performing emergency repairs at the railroad crossing on Villa Avenue this weekend. The crossing will be closed from approximately 6:00 AM on Saturday, January 23 through approximately 6:00 PM Sunday, January 24, while this work is taking place. 

Anyone with questions about the work should contact the Villa Park Public Works Department at (630) 834-8505. See below for a detour map for all traffic. 

Village Buildings 

Beginning Monday, January 25, 2021 all Village buildings will be reopened to the public. Social distancing and masks are required to enter buildings.

All board and commission meetings will also be held in person. 

Dispose of Personal Protective Equipment Properly

Please do not recycle, flush or litter personal protective equipment. 

Move Over for Emergency Vehicles 

State law requires drivers approaching stationary emergency vehicles displaying flashing lights, including towing and recovery vehicles, traveling in the same direction, to vacate the lane closest if safe and possible to do so, or slow to a safe speed. Also included in the law are disabled vehicles.

With a snow storm forecasted for this week, make sure you are up-to-date on the village's snow and ice plan. 

Reminder: No parking on streets when there are 2 or more inches of snow.
