Lieutenant Blaise Clairardin Sworn In
Blaise Clairardin, a firefighter with us since 2012, was promoted to Lieutenant for the Villa Park Fire Department on June 10. As Chief Steve Stapleton stated, a fire lieutenant plays a crucial role in the organizational structure of a fire department as they are responsible for the first line of supervision of the firefighters assigned to their shift and have a significant role in training and mentoring new firefighters. He holds numerous Office of the State Fire Marshal certifications and has been involved in various department committees. Additionally, Lt. Blaise has served as a paramedic preceptor, curriculum committee member, public education specialist, hazardous materials team member, training committee member, peer fitness trainer, juvenile firesetter interventionist, union steward, and more. Lieutenant Blaise Clairardin exemplifies our Fire Department's core values: Courage, Honor, and Commitment. Congratulations on this remarkable accomplishment!
