Rain Barrel Reimbursement Program

Looking for an eco-friendly alternative to watering your garden this spring? Consider installing a rain barrel to collect rain water for use around your property.

The Village of Villa Park offers a Rain Barrel Reimbursement Program for residents. Here are some of the guidelines to be considered for reimbursement:

  • Eligibility limited to single family homes in the village.
  • Village utility account must be in good financial standing.
  • Rain barrel must have at least a 50 gallon capacity, designed to capture rain from a gutter downspout, not require pumps and/or backflows, and are NOT homemade.
  • Reimbursement will be limited to actual cost to purchase rain barrel, not to exceed $40.00 per fiscal year.
