1. How can I determine if my property is in a floodplain?

The Villages Public Works Department maintains the floodplain and wetland maps. You should call the Public Works Department, at 630-834-8505.

The Community Development Department has a variety of economic and demographic data available, including demographic information for the Village of Village of Villa Park, DuPage County, and the State of Illinois.

The United States Bureau of the Census provides extensive data collections at no charge to the public. Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) also provides various demographic and market reports at minimal cost.

3. When can I expect the deposit to be refunded?

The Public Works Department will process the deposit and any applicable engineering escrows when all the work is completed, a final inspection is made, the work is approved by Village inspectors, and the form requesting the refund is received at the Public Works Department.

Generally it takes three to four weeks for the refund to be processed through the Finance Department, and approved by the Board of Trustees.
